Danish company data API and MCP server

The whole Danish CVR company register is available to AI assistants and your own code: key financials, owners, management, boards, auditors, production units and status history. The MCP server and the markdown pages are free and need no key.

Tools

• search_companies — Search companies by name or CVR number.
• get_company — Full company record: key figures, owners, management, board, auditor, production units and status history.
• search_actors — Find people and owning entities by name prefix.
• get_actor — One person or owner with their roles and ownership shares.
• companies_at_address — Companies registered at an address.
• extract_companies — Lists by municipality, industry and size. Needs an API key.

extract_companies needs an API key. Send it as a header from the client config:

REST API

JSON or CSV with Authorization: Bearer cvrdb_…. 10,000 free lookups per day. Create a key under Udtræk (needs a free account).

Markdown and llms.txt

Every company and person page also exists as markdown: add .md to the URL. No key. llms.txt lists every URL pattern for language models.

Terms

• The data is public and comes from the Danish Business Authority's CVR register. See Data (Danish).
• Phone, e-mail and website are left out of the MCP, the API and the markdown.
• One call at a time. On 503, wait the seconds in Retry-After.
• Cite the source as CVR via cvrdb.dk and link the company page.
